At Friese Meren Villas, everything revolves around quality, comfort and a relaxing stay in a water-rich environment. Since 2017, we have been offering a small-scale and carefully curated selection of water villas and lodges, situated in the heart of Friesland.
Our properties are situated directly on open waterways, with a connection to Lake Tjeukemeer and the surrounding Frisian Lakes. Here, you’ll stay literally on the water, in complete tranquillity, whilst the lively town of Lemmer is just a ten-minute drive away. It’s this combination that makes this place special: space and nature, with the charm of a watersports village within easy reach.
Our story
Friese Meren Villas was born out of a desire to make holidays in Friesland more personal and comfortable. Not a large-scale holiday park, but a place where attention to detail and quality come first.
From the very beginning, one idea was central: to create an environment where guests immediately feel at ease. Where nature is tangibly present, the water is always close by, and the stay naturally feels relaxing.

Our villas and lodges have been carefully furnished and range from cosy homes for two to spacious family villas for larger groups. Each property has its own character, but shares the same fundamentals: comfort, space and a location right by the water. Here
